Individual Therapy

I embrace the individuality, uniqueness, and exceptionalities of each person who starts their therapy journey. Our sessions are time for you to receive support, education, and skills for issues that are most important to you. I am here as your guide to increased self-discovery.

I draw from several therapeutic approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and other interpersonal and insight-oriented therapies. I see high school age and up in individual therapy.

I welcome you to reach out to determine if I could be a good fit for your needs. My hope is that the warmth and understanding you receive through therapy can be turned into an internal resource you may draw upon for strength and support.

Teletherapy

Online therapy is extremely effective and offers several benefits. Many enjoy the convenience of meeting in the comfort of their home and often feel more at ease in a familiar environment. Virtual therapy also provides an opportunity for college students to receive continuity of care, which has been a major hurdle in the past. I am able to see college students while they are at school and at home for breaks as long as they are located in one of the many states that I am licensed in.

I am licensed in North Carolina, Virginia, and New York. I am also PSYPACT approved, which means I can see clients located in these states.

People I work with often come into therapy feeling:

  • Stuck

    “I’m in a rut.”

    “I’ve lost all motivation.”

    “I don’t know who I am anymore.”

  • Misunderstood

    “I just don’t fit in.”

    “I feel so isolated.”

    “Nobody understands.”

  • Overwhelmed

    “I feel so depleted.”

    “I can’t handle this anymore.”

    “I’m burned out.”

  • Insignificant

    “I don’t deserve this.”

    “I’m not good enough.”

    “I feel like a fraud.”

“I live in harmony with my mind.”

    “I flexibly navigate life’s demands.”

    “I appreciate my differences.”

  • Assertive

“I know + respect my limits.”

    “I set boundaries when necessary.”

“I prioritize my health + wellbeing.”
